Junior Leaders – 2nd June 2015

The last four weeks has been a jam for the Junior leaders and primary 1.

The final week we got to do loads of fun games  that we don’t usually do.  Including :

• Four Corners
• Musical Bumps
• Musical Statues
• Duck Duck Goose
• The Conga

The conga was lead by Emma Campbell.

All the fun and games were instructed by Heidi Gordon.

Lyla from primary 1 said that the games were the best bit.

Junior Leaders were going crazy while playing Musical Bumps.

All of us having a wee rest before we do the conga.

Our 3 new Junior Leaders are Lucy Rowlands, Emily Fortey and Emily Darch who have fitted in with all the other girls in Junior Leaders.

Watch this space we are about to begin rehearsing our Fantastic Dance Finale for the Talent Show at the end of term.

Junior Leaders Primary 2 Mini Fit Club (Week 4/final week)

The Junior Leaders played 4 games with the children:-

• The Bean Game
• Pigeons
• What’s the time Mr. Wolf
• Duck, Duck, Goose

We hope the Primary 2 children enjoyed coming along to play the games with us.

Next term we will be holding the MINI FIT Club for Primary 3 pupils on the following weeks:-

4th November 3-3.30 p.m.

11th November 3-3.30 p.m.

18th November 3-3.30 p.m.

25th November 3-3.30 p.m.

We look forward to playing games with the Primary 3 children.

Hopefully in December we will run some games for Primary 1 pupils.

Junior Leaders Primary 2 Mini Fit Club (Week 3)

The Junior Leaders played 3 games with the children this week:-

• Sharks and Fishes
• The Beans Game
• Farmers in the Den

Junior Leaders (Week) 2 Mini Fit Club with Primary 2’s

We enjoyed our 2nd week of the Mini Fit Club Sessions for Primary 2 pupils.  We had 10 children this week, and they all had a brilliant time.

JLS Group 2 Caitlin, Heidi, Charlotte and Kathryn lead this session with the help of the rest of the Junior Leaders.  This group of 4 planed and carried out the games the played with Primary 2 pupils.

Our Games were:

• Various forms of Tig.
• The Farmers in his Den.
• Cool Down – lie down on the floor and relax, and sleep until somebody taps you and wakes you and its time for home.

Our plan is for our next block of 4 weeks to be held in November and hopefully this will be for Primary 3 pupils.  To be confirmed.

Thank you to all our Junior Leaders for their hard work and dedication.  Thank you also to all the Primary 2 pupils who came along to join in our games.  Thank you to Sarah for her continued support as always.

JLS – Mini Fit Club with Primary 2’s

We enjoyed our 1st of 4 Mini Fit Club sessions on Monday.  It was a huge success.  We had a lovely small group of 12 P2’s hopefully a few more may join us once they hear how much fun we had.

We want to give other classes a go, so our next lot of 4 sessions will be aimed at Primary 3 pupils.

The Junior Leaders played many games with the children, including games the children requested like Duck, Duck, Goose. They enjoyed a mini obstacle course and we had some nice relaxing music in the background.

The 4 groups of JLS have planned their games, and each group with lead the games for one of the sessions.

Junior Leaders Dance through 5 Decades for 50th Celebrations

Well done to the Junior Leaders, an excellent performance at the 50th Celebrations.  We hope you like our videos.  Having a few technical problems downloading the video hopefully get it sorted soon.

A massive thank you to Maggie and the Parent Council for our lovely Red  and Black Junior Leaders hats, we will all treasure them and wear them with pride.

Our future plans are to run a Mini Fit Club for Primary 2A after school on Tuesdays between 3.00 and 3.30 p.m. starting 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th September.  This is a trial period which if proven to be successful will then be run at a later date for Primary 2B.

The Junior Leaders will be putting into practice their skills and training of running games geared at Primary 2 level.  These will include a couple of warm up games, 2 main games and 2 cool down games.  Examples of the games, are various forms of tig, traffic lights, whats the time Mr. Wolf, The Farmers in his Den, Mini obstacle course, chilling and relaxing at the end of a session, and many other games the children wish to play.  I  will be on hand to supervise these sessions.

Junior Leaders – Lochardil 50th Anniversary!

Our celebrations last week were a massive success. Thank you to everyone who helped contribute to making our events enjoyable for all.
